‘We’ll soon present a report with all the detailed irregularities,’ former President Correa he said.
On Thursday, the Argentine consulting firm TresPuntoZero presented the results of a survey focused on Ecuadorians’ perceptions of the prevailing “sociopolitical climate” following the presidential elections held on April 13.

According to the official results presented by the National Electoral Council (CNE), President Daniel Noboa won the runoff with 56% of the votes, while the Citizen Revolution candidate Luisa Gonzalez obtained only 44%.
In contrast to those results, the post-election survey by TresPuntoZero, which was conducted with 1,000 Ecuadorian residents between April 14 and 16, gathered data confirming Gonzalez’s victory in the presidential elections.
Among other things, the Argentine consulting firm asked people over the age of 16 the following question: “If the elections were held again, which of these candidates would you vote for?” As a result, 52.7 percent of those surveyed chose Luisa Gonzalez.
Upon learning this information, former Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, who is the historical leader of Citizen Revolution, responded by stating:
“The company is Argentine and extremely reputable. The Ecuadorian people feel it and know it too. We will soon present a report with all the detailed irregularities,” he said, referring to the various forms of fraud detected so far.
“In a video, Luisa has already spoken on the matter. However, most of the fraud occurred at the polling tables, and we are investigating how,” Correa added.
“Apparently, the fraud has a lot to do with the insistence on preventing people from taking photos of their ballots,” he said, recalling that the Noboa administration had asked electoral authorities to prevent citizens from photographing their votes with their cellphones. The former Ecuadorian president also indicated that the TresPuntoZero survey is public and anyone can review it.
This week, Luisa Gonzalez reappeared on digital platforms to report the discovery of new evidence regarding irregularities in the elections held on April 13. Among those irregularities, she highlighted the following:
– 1,984 tally sheets lack the required signatures of electoral officials.
– 1,526 tally sheets show vote totals that do not match the number of voters.
– 1,582 tally sheets contain results that deviate significantly from the average of their polling station.
– The unusual reduction in the number of blank ballots suggests the manipulation of more than 150,000 ballots.
In light of all this, Gonzalez demanded the full publication of all tally sheets and a public audit of the electoral process.
